Savoring Creation

October 3, 2021

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. (Gen 1:1, 1:31, 2:2)” God rested from his work and enjoyed creation. “God walk[ed] in the Garden in the cool of the day.” (Gen. 3:8) Have you ever walked with a 1 or 2 year old outside? Every stick, pebble, leaf, bug or drop of water is a reason to stop, touch, explore…The child shows such joy and delight in all of creation - he/she savors it and pronounces it “very good!”

How do you savor creation? What is your favorite way to stop, look, smell, and listen to creation all around you?
